Daddy Kisses Me

Jay-Lee Jane

Notice of absence from Jay-Lee Jane
just returned after losing my love for writing

With tears rolling down my face,

I collapse on the floor,

Knowing that I can’t take the pain anymore.

And when he comes in,

Head on my shoulder; hand on my knee,

Daddy kisses me.

Kiss the tears away,

Kiss the pain away,

Tell me everything Is going to be okay,

When he comes in,

Head on my shoulder; hand on my knee,

Daddy kisses me.

I let him kiss me,

I let him care,

Because without him: there’d be nobody there.

When he comes in,

Head on my shoulder; hand on my knee,

Daddy kisses me.

And when he needs me,

When he needs someone to care,

I’ll be there.

My head on his shoulder; hand on his knee,

I’ll be there waiting until

Daddy kisses me.
