People always prefer rainbows to rainclouds
Happy smiling faces to deeply furrowed frowns
They'd rather hear of butterflies fluttering all the day
Than hear about a plague of locusts
Stripping crops away
The joy of nature in full bloom brings peace upon the soul
But give them the ravages of each season and no one wants to know
Speak of things good and bright
And you'll get a huge response
But when someone decides to moan and cry
You may as well be on your own
But each is as valid and real as the other
There is beauty in light and dark
Love and fear are both the same
So why hold one and shun the other?
That is not natures way
There is balance in everything
But people always prefer rainbows
Rather than clouds full of heavy rain

So very true SC, the belief that the Pot o' Gold is waiting for them enhances their dreams.

Oh most definitely, I mean if it's raining there's a chance Orchi will start singing!.... Gimmie a rainbow and fairytails.
Arghhhhh! Anything but that Dusk!
Great writing crow πitβs so much easier and nicer to smile at rainbows . But perhaps the clouds full of heavy rain ... perhaps they are beautiful we just canβt see it . Beauty within ....
Like your poem .

I agree with you re the moan and cry line but I was too lazy to change it haha. Thanks for reading Rose
