I walk by My River,
The green mirror
Slowly floating by.
As I look at the reflections
I see white clouds,
The trees floating.
I look deeper
And see the plants
In the depths,
The fish gliding through them.
I look even deeper
And see My Spirit
Gentle wafting below
Leading me to her,
As I know
My Rivers journey
With My Spirit
Will take me,
Take me to my eternity
With My Lover,
Already waiting for me.

There's something about a river, probably it's steady permanent presence. That Avon has been there a long long time and seen many things. So it's natural to relax by your river and enter your spiritual thoughts, It's good that you have that relationship and reassurance for your travel along your path... your way.
A poem as serene and calming as the softly flowing river. Beautiful 🙂
there is without doubt, something a little bit special about these words Andy ....................................Neville

The ultimate go with the flow poem. Nice one GF
Beautiful write, Andy.
Brings to my mind the story of Hachikō.
This river of life carries our stories to eternity. I could always find peace in your writing. Thanks.
She's there waiting for you Andy, but she's also with you everyday and night. Beautiful dedication to your wife. 👍
