Falling

WhiskeyyLullaby

Falling for him was like an ocean

On the surface of it all was

A smooth texture

Calm and composed

A quiet but yet gentle touch

That swallowed you whole

Your smile

A beautiful mixture of features

Laid a million lies between those creases

Every word slapped me

Every lie mixed with anger and regret

Every kiss felt like thorns

Every I love you felt cold

And every “its only you” felt uneasy

Your love no longer felt warm

No longer calm and collected

No longer sweet but now suffocating

Pulling me back and into it again

Peaking and then flattening

A never ending cycle

Of a tidal wave

Full of suffering
