My words and thoughts have dried up
The stresses of life have invaded my body
I shake with anxiety
I shake with nerves
Outwardly I look fine
Even though my face is pinched
My demeanor is tense
My eyes wide
My legs are slow to flee
My stomach cramps as I think of what's to come
I'm visibly shaking
I feel sick and disheartened
Despite arms enfolding me
The love others surround me
I can't seem to control
This vicious attack
My motto has always been
Don't let the buggers beat you
Softly softly
Work through it
I've done it before
And I'll do it again!

It's understandable B.
Maybe think of who those b******s are who are trying to grind you down, as the saying goes. Is the fear of doing something, meeting someone, etc worse than actually doing the thing or meeting in-person?
Most people are more concerned, even if over-concerned, about themselves. Or just going on with their daily lives, I find.
Pep talk over! lol.
A separate comment, so as not to pinch your 'reply box' to Teddy!
