Dancing In The Rain

Manjusha Pathak 02

I love dancing in the rain.

For as a child it was the excitement of jumping into puddles and to put up umbrellas in the rain.

Being drenched with droplets and catching a cold,

It was the worry of my mother that I was told.

It  made me feel like a princess.

And  being cuddled off was priceless.

I am happy again to be dancing in the rain

With heart full of love and dreams in my eyes, I am again dancing in the rain.

For now it is with my love that my heart is singing and dancing in the rain,

And we get wet and dance in the rain together.

And you seal a kiss upon my soul forever.

It is like the rain that I have fallen upon you,

To quench our thirst my heart dances in the rain with you.

But now it is the rain that bring back memories while I take a walk.

How times have changed and that we hardly talk.

While my heart aches in the rain for you,

In my wildest dream did I ever think that this was due.

I love the rain not to jump into the puddles which I fear,

But because the rain flows over my face and covers up my tear.

For your colors were shown with exceptional clarity in the rain,

What is to love and not to be loved is really a pain.

So now when it is raining the best thing I can do,

Is to let the rain dance for me like I never used to do.
