What you see is not all of me

Poetic Dan

Said with the best intentions they echo in my head, "cheer up"  as if that's all it was that hadn't told myself.

Yes I'm sad and unhappy but still moving on, helping where I can and truly trying to keep the love

You see as big as my bag of negative depressing stuff is, so is the positive just waiting for the shift.

For my personal problems maybe my own but I don't walk this world alone, we all are here to laugh, cry and cheer.

Separation wasn't just an idea, it was tangled soul looking for something dear.

As all of the focus and background has just disappeared, leaving just a ghost in the shell of embodied gears.

such an uplifting perspective, I think your picture mirrors your words metaphorically:
we may all be mere pebbles, in the face of a sea of circumstance and consequence
but our marking lines, can add so much depth to our beauty, and experience of life...
thanks for sharing, there's such an honesty to your words, my friend

Ha its funny how crap I felt when I wrote it and yet slowly I with time and support like yours, I find the smile all in my own time!

Never lose your shine my man!

      Always appreciated
      Much peace and respect

Yes sometimes we have to "let it be" and give misery central stage for a while Dan - -- good points on what makes folk try to keep the positive afloat even when feeling like a "ghost in the shell"

Thank you my friend it is never easy as I don't want to make others feel bad too but to not help is sometimes helpful!

I like that thought, I give all my emotions the centre stage. Don't come in if you don't like what you may see!

Oo I have a great picture to go with that too...

Thank you so much for the inspiration and time.
        Always appreciated
        Much peace and respect

This shows you care ... Dan .. even as you feel sad and unhappy you still want to help others ... that’s how I read the words in your poem ‘ helping where I can and truly trying to keep the love ‘

I understand it’s frustrating when we can’t help others ... but I guess we try and if we can’t then it’s not our fault

Such warmth and care within your words

Know what mate, reading your piece today has just made me realise something about myself for the first time.
I've realised why i am a happy and positive person. It's not that i dont have negative crap and background, i left home at 15 yrs old, am currently fighting with cancer, have a handicapped daughter, and i've become physically disabled. But b*llocks to all that (and dont for one moment think this is a trawl for sympathy - b*llocks to that). I'd rather not dwell on any of that when it's so easy to think about, or to do stuff which gives me pleasure.
EASY = Nice thoughts and doing nice stuff.
HARD = thinking about things which get me down and depressed.

Thanks mate you made me realise that today.
But why do you think about hard stuff when theres easy stuff to do and think about..... answers on a postcard to Dusky's Problem Page

Keeping that love is so important Dan, we all have days where we slip into a form of misery but with love in our hearts it makes it easier to come out into happiness.
