Neville

Scarper

Scarper

No buts but paper cuts

they came to rest

upon a moment lightly

But then ..

the very morning after

they first

Made love, both on em

bade their

excuses to leave and

neither

Could leave quick enough

Ha - Well at least it was mutual that quick scarper Nev. . Scalded by guilt or was it sheer disappointment ? - methinks that sometimes can happen to those on them " 1- night- stands " ...............x

          • Neville

I have always found that a quick count of three two one go helps both parties with any initial guilt .. disappointment .. wot disappointment .......................... I'm still up for it ma'am 🙂 x

Looks like Fay beat me by two minutes - got be quick and nimble round here, Nev. Not only but also....I feel her analysis has more depth - so she is more qualified to be your advisor in matters of the heart....

                  Neville,

                  “Scarper”…
When I saw this title, I immediately thought of two Italian words…
                  ’scappare’ and ‘scarpe’.
I thought it would be interesting to read through your poem and see the penned words associated with that interesting title.
After the read, I wondered if either one left with or without their shoes on.

Thank you for sharing your pen.
