An Empty Facade

simone01

I put on a smile even when I'm not happy

I pretend like I'm fine, but in reality I'm not

It's not like I'm not trying

I'm trying very hard

But all everyone sees is the little girl with a bright smile

A girl whose smile is like an empty wall

I've put on a fake smile for so long

That I don't know what's real or fake anymore

Just an empty facade

What would you rather be, the facade or you.
Let the world see the real you. If you don't, then how do you plan fitting in?

  • Goldfinch60

Let the real you be shown as in my philosophy of life I say

"This is me, if you don't like what you see it is not my problem - it is yours"
