Actual Reality

jo

This is not a movie
This is not a dream
It’s actual reality
I think I need to scream!

It’s like all the traits I looked for
All lined up one by one
Then you swallowed each one whole
Now your goodness weights a tonne!

I can’t believe your talents
I can’t believe your core
Our common ground is stretching wide
Each day we’re finding more

You’re like the safest place I’ve known
My truths just tumble out
I want to tell you everything
Each dream, wish, fear and doubt

It’s sure to sink in one day
That we’ve now become a pair
But I pray that each tomorrow
Will not change how much we care

So, yes, I’ll be your little friend
Indeed, you will be mine
And you will learn of morning’s gifts
And I will learn of wine
