Betrayal

The Anonymous Poet

underneath the gray clouds

beneath the pouring rain

she stared into his emotionless eyes

her sorrowful tears pooling down her cheeks

how could he hurt her and show no regret?

no remorse?

he didn’t care

he turned his back on her

and before she knew it

he was gone

and she was alone

    'in a blink
    we intrust our hopeful hearts,
    believing
    in their professed loyalties'
    'in a step
    they'll shatter them, claiming
we were never enough: from the start'..
    (thanks for sharing,
    this was short and succinct
    and as dramatic as, some
    may think, your wording is
    its actually very realistic,
    in my humble opinion)
