Without Closure
While out walking
alone
As was always
the case
He discovered by
chance
Although some
might say fate
Her discarded gold
chain
And that old broken
cross ..
Yes, the one she
refused
Not to wear on a
date ..
Of his love though
there was not
Even the slightest
of traces ..
No DNA flake
not a fingerprint or
hair even ..
Nor her essence
was ever to be found ..

The case of a missing lady-love and what skill in the telling when your lines open questions of fate intervening with intriguing clues. Another tale which maybe needs a sequel mon ami........ otherwise such as me will ever be sad at knowing this post is truly Without Closure. - - .good un tho. Nev.......x
Thank you Fay ......................... and truly ... x
Well some old trinkets are just baggage after the lust has gone, the damage done, and life has well and truly moved on.....
............................ Cheers DA .. that sure is another way of looking at it .......... N
Without closer...yet? 🤔
Yes yet of course is the operative word ...................... Ta AP n truly ... Neville
So many questions:
Have you:
Cleaned it?
Pawned it?
Sold It ?
Good price?
Sequel definitely needed Nev, as the consensus makes plain.
Cheers Dave .............................. who knows, maybe one day .. the case may be cold, but it is still very much open .. Neville
Such a sadly emotive write Neville.
Andy
a sad tale and true .............. thank you my golden friend ......................... Neville 🙂
'Yes, the one she
refused
Not to wear on a
date ..'
(its like she felt trouble approaching, and still chose
to charge forth,
grimacing heart, out in front
and bared raw
with pride, tide back
in that perfectly silken hair
she, far too often
hid behind...
its like she also, knew
whatever after-story guesses
their ashes of dying embers
may someday, spew
this here, was a Love
a belonging-to, worth
fighting for: with the Faith
she'd invested
in all her hopes, of Life...)
mystical Poetry, at its subtly woven: Finest!
thanks for inspiring my little scribbled reply,
sorry if my interpretation was off the mark, I kinda let my imagination loose a little..
as always thanks for sharing
I read and learn, my friend
(oh and that book cover is gonna give me nightmares for a few days,
although admittedly not as much as those all-seeing eyes from your other cover..
they, just drill into you relentlessly 😨 ) lol
Cheers on your 5th 🥂
am already looking forward to that magical 6th! 😎
never off mark L.B .. indeed, is there ever such a thing ............ and I thank you so very much for your generosity and support .. and may it long continue .. Neville
Neville,
Your words convey a message of sadness and a void that this reader feels. Perhaps ‘without closure’, there’s still hope. We can always hope.
Laura🌻
