Our One God.

Goldfinch60

In our life we know that God exists,

That God of yours,

Your own God.

But as we pray in our own way,

To our God,

No matter which religion you follow,

Or even if you have no religion,

Your God will be with you.

In time we will realise,

Realise that the God we pray to

Is the one that we all pray to,

Pray to in our different ways

And that God does not discriminate,

All are equal in our God’s eyes.

So why do we not treat each other,

Treat each other In an equal way

And make the world

A so wonderful place

Where all live in harmony.

As you know, I stand alongside your appreciation of what is god and the wonder of how we relate in our own personal spirituality.
It's good to reaffirm one's thoughts on this from time to time and your post serves in this respect very well.
Unlike many of the various christian and other religious pieces often seen on MPS there is no hint of the patronising or condescention in your writing.
        We are spiritual beings.

            Amen!
what people fail to understand, dear Poet
            is, when they claim to be a devout follower of their 'One n Only' God;
they're inadvertently, proclaiming themselves as an Atheist to the other 2'999 or so, god's and deities this world knows...
Why not, we just all Respect each other - enough
to allow us to follow whatever path we choose for ourselves in life,
as long: as it doesn't harm another.
            And no!
            Capitalism's logic, isn't inevitably Perfect,
yes success equates to growth and that necessitates more resources, but
that doesn't mean we can't all share, equally!
Look at all the derelict buildings of worship, were they all necessary?
We can all still: find Unity
            if we just utilise, Humility.
(and write's like yours my friend, is how we can learn to comprehend that universal Truth)
and so I thank you for being bold enough to share it, knowing the vultures will craving a chance to warp and sully your humanist message.
(and if you're a 'devout' atheist, good for you
you're still a believer, in something - too
see, you just choose to believe, in nothing
but that choice, places your 'faith' in something, however abstract..)
in short, we're all in the same
            leaking boat
lets help each other and survive, side by side
one overcome bucket of water at a time...

Thank you Mek, if only we could just help each other with respect and love the world would be a wonderful place.

Beautiful - a lesson we all need to learn.

Thank you Jon - if only.......
