Favourable Farewell

orchidee

Tune: Carlisle

('Stand up and bless the Lord')

2 Corinthians 13 v.11-14

**********

Finally, farewell all

Says Paul unto them all

Bids them be perfect, full, complete

And worship at Christ's feet

Be of good comfort, be

Of one mind, constantly

Live in peace, and the God of love

Sends you the Spirit, dove

He too the God of peace

Whose mercies never cease

Greet each other with holy kiss

Loving family bliss

Grace of the Lord Jesus

And love of God to us

And the fellowship of the One

The Father, Spirit, Son

We are so lucky to have Tesco's in every town now. Poor paul had to travel miles for Domestos.

I give it just another fifty years or so and farewell will likely become just another obsolete word .. a bit like forsooth or fortuitous .......... a fine hymn poem tho' regardless Mr. O .. N 🙂
