Rain

Michael William Reid

Sparkling droplets of liquid life

Drop from the sky to fields of green

The grasses reach like upstretched hands

To bring the beauty back to the land

All the colors of brown and grey

Know the rain is here they cannot stay

They will stand aside for nature's path

Or stand to reckon nature's wrath

As blue and green suffuse the earth

And bring about nature's rebirth

The grass will sing the trees will smile

Because life is better for awhile

And here I sit a happy man

Just watching nature work nature's plan

I like your personification of nature .. “ the grass will sing , the trees will smile “

      yeah, some days
you just look out and get a glimpse
      of all that comforting Nature
      that waits
beyond, our fog of worries and laments...
      thanks for sharing
