Grief Safe.

Goldfinch60

In our lives we have so much,

It is so wonderful to wake up each day,

As each day is wonderful.

But sometimes we have grief,

Of things or people we have lost,

It brings a darkness to our hearts.

That can stay with us,

But all we need to do

Is go down to the ocean

And pick up stones,

On each stone just write,

Write the things we have lost.

Kiss each stone and throw it,

Throw it into the water

To cast away those dark memories,

As the ocean is big enough,

Big enough to take our grief

And keep it safe for us.

We then know that our heart

Will have more space,

For the wonderful things

In our lives.

    Good write Gold.
I did similar thing, though neighbours may think I had murdered someone or something!
I wrote names and words on an old shirt, of hurtful comments, etc. Then I cut the shirt up and burnt it! Therapeutic.

      Thank you Orchi.

My daughter had problem with a man in her life at one time so I drew a face on a pillow case, put it on a pillow and let her punch seven bells out of it, that worked as well.

Sometimes it’s challenging for me to throw those stones into the water, I sometimes want to hold onto them. It’s always better after letting the ocean have them, though. Thanks for your words and the beautiful music.

Thank you for your kind words A.H.
Yes it can be challenging sometimes but the release when those stones are thrown can be so calming.
