Tune: Abridge
('Be thou my guardian and my guide')
John 6 v.47-51
********
Jesus, He said, Truly, truly
They that believe on me
have everlasting life, it true
E'en reaching unto you
i am the bread of life, 'tis so
Your ancestors did know
And in desert did manna eat
That was their food, their meat
Though they are dead, yet I the bread
By which you may be fed
This is the bread which comes down, see
From heaven origin be
'Tis so that you may eat of such
The supply avails much
May eat of it, and shall not die
But know my presence nigh
I am the living bread, and I
Shall be your full supply
I came down form heaven, true bread
Imparts life to the dead
For if anyone eat this bread
They shall live e'er, He said
And this bread He gives is himself
The source of our fine wealth
He gives Himself for all to live
His body does He give
Upon the cross, then rose again
The Saviour for all men* (*mankind)

Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold. Made more bread lately?
This week some will be made.
Great write Orchidee and, you are alluding to a chapter of the Gospel (John 6) that many Catholics hold in high and dear esteem. We’ll done!
Thanks Gary - even we may differ over transub-wotsit. You know, that long word! We can mention it now, but not mention Ch...... yet (Christmas)! lol.
