Words on happiness

Michael William Reid

I wake up in the morning

Put on my clothes and boots

And venture out to face the day

And make it what I choose

My eyes are bright My soul is light

My mind is clear and free

As I contemplate my place in life

And where I'm meant to be

I have fought and I have suffered

But those are not things on which I dwell

I have persevered and overcome

Now I have my story to tell

I wish that I could tell the world

The lessons I have learned

To help them bring their life around

To the way that mine has turned

Happiness is not a given

Sometimes happiness is earned

Sometimes happiness is fought for

And sometimes it is learned

So for those who search for happiness

Treat every day as new

Always stepping forward

Always walking through

I could have written this Michael as it is exactly as I feel.
Each new day will be wonderful.
