Heart of a Girl (A response to the film: 'The Other Boleyn Girl')

jo

A precious fruit,
plucked before ripening.
Not savoured,
no.
Peeled
of dignity;
hollowed of its core
of trust;
its seeds
of hope;
and finally,
its flesh
divided;
its fragments
scattered;
its functions
terminated.
Rare, delicate sweetness -
stolen.
And now,
what promise?
A precious fruit
beyond repair,
beyond recognition,
beyond restitution.

    every time I come across that film, I think
    there's no way, anyone who doesn't know that period of History
    can fathom,
    just how Influential these events were, to determining
    an entire Nation's future
    in factual based, Reality...
    (but I really enjoyed reading your
    poetic interpretation,
    a great write, thanks for sharing)

      Very good words Jo, we all have our weaknesses but hope that we can overcome them.
