Philosophy

John Prophet

Philosophy.
Contemplation.
Why?
Why
anything?
Why
anything
at all?
Existence,
what’s the
point?
Grappling for
understanding.
Avenues of
approach.
Delving for
answers.
Answers!
Infinite.
The finite
wrestling
with the
infinite.
Philosophy
a fools
errand.
Primate
contemplation.
How far
can it
reach?
With infinite
understanding
to be
had.
How much
can be
known?
Working with
what’s
provided.
Intellectually
governed.
Limited
in scope.
Philosophy.
Thinking,
searching.
Working
with what’s
supplied.
Shackled by
reality.
Dancing
in a
small hall.
Passionately
dancing,
exploring
nonetheless.
Philosophy,
why not?

    'Shackled by
    reality.
    Dancing
    in a
    small hall.
    Dancing,
    exploring
    nonetheless.
    Philosophy,
    why not?'
Because its easier, to reverse engineer
    Nature
and call it, progressively commercialised Science...
    (where as, we
    intrigued by antiquity's
searching mindset's, continue our inherited questing legacy
    for historically contexed, wisdom
    gotta stick together,
endlessly/pointlessly toiling away, like that great gadfly, and excepting nothing more
than what he himself received, in the end.
    but hoping, one of us
will find that important question, as a key
to answering humanity's timeless need, for the meaning
    in anything and Everything!)
    thanks for sharing, dear poet

Why? The only question that can never be answered, why?
