She wasn’t accustomed to kindness
He gave her the world
She didn’t know how to respond
He showed her slowly
He didn’t know how to open up
She waited patiently
Feelings weren't expressed in his words
In her eyes, that was okay
She didn’t know how to love
He walked with her
She couldn’t look people in the eye
He worked with her
He was comfort
She was light
He was a storm
She was his rainbow
She was chaotic
He was steady
Both had trauma unresolved
Accepted the other as whole
Although time has torn them apart
They are still connected
Trapped by their own thoughts
Yearning for each other with silent eyes
Patiently waited for each other
To slowly grow alone yet together
As to allow the better to blossom
And the darkness to shed its skin
Twin flames as they may be
Alone their flames are weak and dim
Together they could burn down the world
As they are different faces of the same coin

Twin flames ... I know about these type of connections .
This is a very lovely poem ...
Wonderful words Lukian, may their flames be forever combined into the glory of their love.
Andy
'if you love them, let them go
and if it's true love, they'll find their way back...'
that's the concept you've unfurled so delicately
in this write, I think
I really liked your pacing, utilised your stanza breaks to full effect, and it added to the stories gripping feel of unravelling,
thanks for sharing!
'Patiently waited for each other
To slowly grow
*separated, yet together
As to allow *their better, to blossom
And darkness, to shed its skin
Twin flames, *although
Alone, their flames are weak and dim
Together, they could burn down the world!'
This is lovely so full of emotion
