The world seems to be falling apart

Making me the center like I'm the arc

I'm only one person I tell myself

All I can muster is to yell

Into the void of inevitability

Into the void of obscurity

I figured out the world isn't close to mere perfection

I ask so many questions but nobody ever listens

Like how can humans be so cruel

What things would fuel their brain to bring on so much hate

I tell myself tomorrow will be different

Only to disappoint the little strands of hope that I had

I sit and try to justify how the world isn't all that bad

Only to figure out that I'm a liar to myself and anyone that's ever asked

Because the world is falling apart

and start building, fervently..

every generation thought it couldn't get any worse
and then, they had children and tried to make the world, a better place;
then guess
what their children thought? lol
