It was my day,
The day so many years ago
When I was born.
I went down to My River
And walked gently
By its green waters.
Peace was within me,
I sat for a while
Watching the gentle waters
Roll passed me.
As I sat I was joined,
Joined by My Lover’s Spirit
Who had come down to me,
To wish me happy birthday.
Her wondrous smile
Lighting up my world.
And there we sat
As we did in olden times
When she was with me in body.
We walked together by the water
Going towards the end,
I stopped as she walked on
Into the world where I will join her,
Join her one day,
When I walk along My River
To join her for eternity.

- Comment from author about the poem: She is always with me. What a surprise, I thought about putting the song "Moon River" on this poem, I got onto YouTube and the first item on the list was 'Moon River', my muse new what I was thinking.
