You nor I

Katherine Leutsch

    You nor I

Neither You nor I will live to see that wonderful time

When the world will live without a crime

Neither you nor I will live to hear the victory cry

Of freedom before one of us will die

Neither you nor I will live to feel the keys to our chain

Before we reveal the world our pain

Neither you nor I will live to smell the air of our land

When we all march southward hand in hand

Neither you nor I will live to taste the cold bitter tear

Of those who mourned our pain and or fear

Such true words Katherine but we must not give up hope and do the best we can for those around us.
