Me and my companion

A Country Wordsmith

My world is not too big,
It’s just me and my housemate.
It’s both happy and tragic,
We both love it and hate.
I give him food and care,
He gives me love and company.
All day we talk and stare,
At each other, that’s our symphony.
I ask him and he grabs things,
He pretends to like whenever I sing.
Doesn’t judge whatever i do.
He is single and me, too.
In malls and walk ways,
He is my wingman.
To make ladies to talk to me,
Does whatever he can.
I wish my dog would never leave me,
Like has everyone in past,
Without him, you wouldn’t believe,
Only for few days I’d last.

Wonderful emotive words, dogs can be such wonderful companions.
