The Mad Day Approaches

orchidee

Now, before I go any further...

What's that you say:

'The mad day is already here

It's every day with you and Fido!'

But I mean - the day of Hastings

The 1066 reunion on the famous 14th (October)

Goldfinch and I were there in person

Oh, and Fido too

Were you there too?

That's the only condition -

You have to have been there in person in 1066

To be able to join the Reunion

It's in Hastings, of course!

See ya in a few days, I hope

It'll be batty and barmy

'No change there then', you say. Doh!

You know the legend?

I turned up, and said to Harold

'Look up, Sire', and he did

Though Fido barked to warn him

Just when a pesky arrow passed by

And the rest is history......

God bless history, it was a good year for the roses. Oops, Fido! Said that was later. Like it.
