Wasp In Terrace Dish

Jerry Reynolds

She was struggling
Bound by the water
Soon to die
I fished her out
Laid her on the deck to dry
She flexed gossamer wings
Until she could fly
Days later, the same refrain
To her rescue again, I arrived
To prevent her second
Attempt at suicide
