The Climate's Strange

S.Allette

Mother Earth has a fever that is growing,
Deep within her core,
But on the crust we see it showing.
Glaciers are melting,
Like an unnatural exercise.
So don't be alarmed,
When you see sea levels rise.
Hottest years on record were 2020 and '16.
What did we expect,
The environment's unclean.

So what's the critical reason,
Making the Climate Strange?
It's the Greenhouse Effect,
Influencing Climate Change,
From water vapour, methane, carbon dioxide,
Chlorofluorocarbons and nitrous oxide.
They trap heat from the sun,
Increasing earth's temperature.
Affecting food, health and the weather.

Extreme temperatures result in natural occurences.
Such as storms, flood, drought and hurricanes.
Crops will fail,
Animals become frail,
As they struggle with changes on a major scale.
One day,
We'll walk out out door,
And be engulfed by a multitude of smog galore.
You'll be inflicted with asthma, lung cancer and heart disease.
Just blame the industries each time you sneeze.

Human's contribute to earth's climate problem.
Leeching on resources,
Since Industrialization.
Why do we act so destructive?
With this sacred place that we all live.
Our planet is generous and has a lot to give.
MAN! Just take what you need and be respective.

Now let's do our best to help the planet heal.
Since we know,
That climate change is so real.
Transform yourself,
Become the solution.
Preserve the earth,
For future generations.
