ick

jark

i’m having an identity crisis
am i an individual?
additions to me, they’re fictional
with powers i’ll imagine myself invincible
or golden as a touch from Midas
that actually identifies the crisis
hyperbolizing my life is
making me not know what’s me or what’s miserable
i’m in my memories replaying like they’re digital
fading quickly, to put it simply
my memories must be more like film
minimal details, distortion begins to kill
the actually memory, that actually moment
remembering my remembering
remembering a time, one encroaching
on a memory i remembered quite poorly
fading in and out i'm up and down
i don’t remember myself fully
am i an individual without a dream
a man lacking memories is a broken machine

We are each individuals and work our own ways through life, as your life continues that machine will mend itself through your experiences.
