She Was My Sun.

Goldfinch60

When I met her the sun came into my life,

It blocked out everything

And everyone else from my life.

The darkness had gone forever

And the light shone ahead,

Shone ahead showing us the path,

The path that we would travel,

Travel together forever,

Forever into eternity,

And beyond.

    A fine write Gold.
It's Doris for me - 'proper' singing anyway, not some of this modern trash.

      Thank you Orchi.

Yes she was a fine lady.

Quote from Groucho Marks "I knew Doris Day before she was a virgin!"

      Beautiful!
it must be wonderful, to look up
      and see and feel,
      the warmth of the sun;
      maybe lightyears, in distance
      but a heartbeat away
      in recollection's, soothing scenes..
      thanks for sharing Andy
      hope the Sun, visits
and lingers, for a while longer this weekend
      my friend

It doesn't get any better than that Andy. Great write and she's smiling on you. 👍

            • Goldfinch60

She certainly is smiling, if you ask anyone who knew her what they remember about her they would say "her smile".
