Tune: Ravenshaw
('Lord, thy word abideth')
***********
Partaking Communion
Lord, you invite each one
Who in you does believe
Who gospel does receive
And all may come to know
The salvation you show
Give us courage that we
Witness to lost freely
That they come to your fold
Counted midst you sheep told
Your bread, wine we may share
Welcomed to your feast there
Shepherd, life gave for sheep
Will each one tender keep
Guard from sin and danger
Graces on them confer
Remembering, we do
Share Eucharist* anew (*Thanksgiving')
Strengthened by your Spirit
Our steps be by you lit

I am sure this is a very fine hymn poem Mr. O ....
it certainly has a lotta sixes to its credit ......................................... 🙂 N
Thanks N. I been playing cricket - hit six every time! lol. Strangely, 666 is not 'short metre', but 6686 is! See that 8 creeping in there?! Not that I know much about composing music.
Good one Orchi.
