shimmering, a cloud of freshly blown bubbles float past
upon a trill of childrens laughter
Bright colours jazzle for attention
above the moist aroma of freshly cut grasses....
. ..... it is a summer's day
and turning to you, here, now, my chemotherapy
my own sultry, seductress, my deareast 'keemo'
. ...should i compare thee to a summers day?
neath your wily cloak my shortness of breath draws shorter
through dry cracked lips, over ulcerated gums
rewarding exhaustion upon every exertion
each muscle ache, every aching footstep onwards
you sweet, sour saviour, you lady of deciet
what promise of summers rich bounty do you bear
bring again to me your sleepy stupour
that I may dream of those rich summer's days
erstwhile lost to me without your poisoned touch
should I compare thee to a summers day?
why yes,
for you are the promise of all the summer's days i dream of
each summer that will not be lost but for your treacherous endeavors
you are the promise of such summer's days to come
.......bring on those summer's days

Brilliant!
one of your very best, dear Poet
(I'm so sorry you were going though such a hard time)
this is why I truly believe,
we must all cherish, our everyday
of blissfully generic uneventfulness,
more, than we lament the absence of our happiness...
thank you! for choosing to share
I hope my positivity shines out from my word today. I hope i can maintain it too. Thank you LBM for your much valued approval of this cheeky piece.
A fine write dusk.
A sort of 'making friends with an enemy', though it's not intended as an enemy.
Simply to say, whether with any spiritual/religious/whatever connotations or not, that I hope treatment is successful. I don't know what some folk go through sometimes, with courage and hope 🙂
When situations come along in life and we have a choices, that famous crossroads, sometimes the right road is a rocky path to travel but the destination holds our prize.
Thank you for your support here Orchi.
You have my utmost respect Mr. DA .. and I applaud both You & these words .. Neville
Thank you Neville, it's good to be back.
Your words after such set-back are such an example - personification of chemo. makes her the only sultry seductress to have first class poetry in her train........... masses of loud applause for this write now you are out again dear D.A,. and hugs of warm wishes that bring you to more summer-time health once more.
Written in ernest, you can bet I am really looking forward to being well again and thankful to my sultry seductress. Bring on those summer days.
Thank you for your truly appreciated support Fay.
My sincere pleasure dear friend - - you are such an example to us all who value your courage and of course welcome your talent with words - and we know you will keep fighting to regain your strength again.
