Grandpa’s girl

Ruqaiya

The only thing that’s left with me,

Is your memory,

Days passing by slowly,

Loneliness haunting me,

Fighting away my longing for you ,

Just the thought of you,

Brings ease,

Wanting you to be close to me,

And Numb my pain like an antidote,

wear away my problems,

Seeing your smile like a shining star,

 

I’m lost without you here,

Like a lost child yearning for it’s mother,

You’ve taken my happiness with you,

Come back,

I want to feel your warmth hug again,

I want to hear your funny jokes again,

But i know, you’re in a better place now,

I will always keep you in my prayers,

Oh Grandpa, how much i miss you!
