Soft Love

Jerry Reynolds

Love soft as a sweet potato sky
Three geese lumbering in formation
Eastward towards the sound.
I know enough about precious.
To bide here at this moment,
For longer than a while
When you write about it and you will
Don’t weigh it down
With metaphor and symbol.
Remember I was here
And I love you.

A gem of a tender romantic read Jerry - from the title onward your words capture the softness of love in flight - must have this bit of treasure for my list of favourites

Was writing to Aphrodite herself on this one.

Really like this ! 🙂but isn’t it sweet potato , not sweat potato ? I thought maybe it was supposed to be sweet unless I’m wrong ?

      Great writing , anyhow .
