Exodus Exaltings

Tune: Darwalls 148th

('Ye holy angels bright')

Exodus 15 v.1-6

********

Moses and Israel

This song they sang, did tell

Of their exodus, they

From Egypt were that day

Released and sang, I will sing to

The LORD, give praises not a few

For He gloriously

Has triumphed here now see

The horse and his rider

He has thrown in sea sure

The LORD is my strength and my song

He my salvation all life long

He my God, I will praise

Him, to Him worship raise

And God of our fathers

Still help on us confers

The LORD He be a man of war

Brings righteous judgements from His store

For Pharaoh's chariots

And army pursued us

But the LORD He did cast

Enemies there at last

Into Red Sea, there they be drowned

Not one remaining living found

The deeps did them cover

No hope of recover

They sank in the sea, they

Were defeated that day

The LORD did show His great power

Revealed His glory in that hour
