Music has been in my life,
Been in my life since birth.
The more I listen to it
The more drawn in I become.
The wonders of the notes
Send such joy through me,
Bringing every emotion to me.
Through the years I have listened,
Listened to so much music
That I realise that even at my age
There is still so much out there,
But so little time to hear it all.
Then comes that day
When I hear a piece of music
That I loved so many years ago,
And realise that it is like getting in touch,
Getting in touch with an old friend.

Good write Gold.
Yes, very old music for us two. How was music in 1066? You got that lyre-thingy still?!
Thanks Orchi.
Totally agree. Just a note can bring back great memories.
So true Paul.

Music is the unceasing flowing river that passes by
There is no beginning and no end
It’s eternal
And so soothing
Exactly life is too short to hear all
And every tune connects to a near one beside
Thanks dear poet for sharing this beautiful poetry
So kind spilleronsheet, much appreciated.

Listening to music is like another form of magic carpet that takes us right back to a certain place and time. Best form of memory there is. It's probably why Alzheimer patients still remember to sing - it's what's left of their lives.....
It certainly is Lorna. Yes the songs of the past are still with many who are suffering.
