Mouth My Name Slow

Mouth My Name Slow

If you think of me quick

and you

mouth my name slow

Then you

might just miss some

of the

many imperfections

you previously

assigned to me

in one of those moments

of pique when

your anger did peak so ..

Interesting way with words … good poem . I guess sometimes we can forget the imperfections ,

Not good to always focus on that which we see at fault with someone ejse

      A moment of heat
      A moment of rush
Always makes us take the bad decisions
Especially the words chosen at that moment be so rude
That we may end up hurting others
Thank you dear poet for the message, if we can assign imperfections to others. Then we must remember no one exists without flaws.

            Good read, Neville.

Oh i recall the days when i threw arrows at your image and mocked every utterance upon your breath.
But then i learned to voice your name so slowly that, apart from strange looks as I noised that name in a dirge of meditational transit, my mind began to see the messiah within your very soul.....

Now there's a story it would be difficult to live up to.

              • Neville

............................. Got them arrows saved up in a big pile in the corner mate .. if you want them back for some future target perhaps, just give us a bell ........................................... What a smashing review note you have left for me DA ....................... Thank you so much .. Neville

The friendship we endure, must strain to first recall the imperfections, and in their absence must wonder why we even ventured so…..even when beckoned by your poetic words.

or count to 3 and allow me to create distance,
                    so as to step, back
                    into your good books
                    without, the hassle
                    of a soon-to-be regretted
                    bust-up, or three...
                    🍻
here's to our hard earned appreciation
                    for avoiding, futile confrontation!

saying sorry aint always easy but saying it over a pint does tend to soften the blow somewhat .. well a few pints maybe .................. may your presence & welcome in my good books never be contested or doubted L.B ...................................................... Neville 🙂

                        Amen!

Wasn’t it those pints that loosened our tongues and gotten us in that ‘truth be told’ mess to start with. Well maybe them those pints, as you said, will get us out of it….

I love it! It is something I can completely relate to and sincerely needed to hear! The universe is so timely when we're willing to listen isn't it. Keep em coming I've thoroughly enjoyed them all! I do hope that when where purging are negative thoughts that we do not mean to offend others it's just our way of releasing of which we cannot hang on to is all. No sweet can be appreciated without the knowledge of a bit of bitter. Thus, bittersweet.

How kind of you Sparrow73 .. I am delighted you came across these words of mine .. and I truly appreciate the fact you have given them so much considered opinion .. and left that sage like concluding statement of yours behind for me to savour @ my leisure ................... Neville

I thought you might like that. I appreciate you too, Neville.
