Okay let's get the etiquette straight
I walk towards you, I nod
You nod back
Works all around the world
What doesn’t work, is, you stopping
Stopping is bad
It’s a protocol thing
One must never stop and engage one
You just don’t do it
I really don’t want to know about your corns
Don’t give a crap about your lumbago
The price of fish doesn’t interest me
Old Mrs Jones died this time
Sure she’ll be missed
Your wife’s having an affair
How are your corns
They really can be painful I'm told
That lumbago
I could recommend a good chiropractor
The price of fish these days, shocking
Old Mrs Jones
God, I'll miss her
Is that my bust, bus
Need to rush.

Good one dear writer
Saw a new shade of yours from the poetry you wrote
LOVE the smile in these lines Paul....... just the ticket the meeting and nodding instead of stopping and believe me I aim to remember - this piece goes into my list of faves.
Nodding is good. lol
A great write!
thanks for choosing to share,
really clever!
I can relate with all three characters, fated
to play-out this gruelling scene
time-n-again, in their lives
and why?
because we, mostly
choose to abide by social norms
just, so as to survive;
as a part of us, still remembers those Neanderthal age's
where it was more like:
I bigger, give me
I weaker, best hide - me
we together, big powerful
rob everything, we ever need...
(no bus, as saviour
just the speed of feet
you were Fated with...)
It's the ones that stop you with. You won't believe it.
Very good fun write Paul, sometimes the nod is the best way forwards.
