Bronze Age

John Prophet

Bronze Age.
They,
were once
here.
Where
we are
now.
Saw the
same moon.
Saw the
same stars.
How much
have we
changed?
How little
have we
changed?
Four thousand
years ago.
She lived
four thousand
years ago.
Basic
human needs.
The same.
The lady
had style.
She wanted
to be pretty.
She wanted
to be
loved.
Difficult
life.
Survival.
Arduous
existence.
Survive.
Lived to
thirty if
lucky.
Blink
of an
eye.

So true that we have not changed that much except that life expectancy is longer.

      I don't know, dear poet
if you compare the past and the present
      a lot has changed, but
      depending on your perspective
it may be for the slightly better or much - much, worse..?

        Hi LBM,

Much has changed externally, but how much of human nature changed?
Thank you kindly for reading my work
