Help Be Here

Tune: Hanover

('O worship the King')

Psalm 146

*********

Praise, praise you the LORD, O my soul, while I

Live I will praise the LORD, 'til day I die

While I have any being Him will I praise

Put not trust in man, temporary his days

Man cannot help like the LORD, his breath goes

Forth, he returns to the earth, each life shows

In man no salvation, his days not e'er last

But for a lifetime, and then he is gone, past

Happy they be that the LORD God do have

For their help, they hope in Him, He does save

He made heaven, earth, sea, and all that therein

Is, keeps truth for ever, forgives us our sin

He works judgement, justice for the oppressed

Feeds, provides for hungry, in Him they blessed

He sets free prisoners, opens eyes of blind

Raises up those bowed down, in Him help they find

He loves the righteous, watches o'er strangers

Helps orphans, widows, on them grace confers

But way of the wicked He turns upside down

The LORD shall reign ever, o'er each country, town

Where's god's justice when he - the omnipotent creater of mankind and all that surrounds us - allows handicapped at birth innocents to be born?

        Thanks dusk.

He's certainly with you everyday Orchi helping you write these incredible lengthy tributes....

Thanks Lorna. But - an original hymn I based a poem on, had 20 verses. One has 38 verses in all, but we never sing them all! Phew!
