Give thanks unto the LORD

He is good, it is true

His mercy endures

For e'er, it is sure

Let Israel now say

In their praises each day

His mercy endures e'er

And it fails ne'er

 

Let priests, house of Aaron

Now all say, every one

His mercy endures

Ever from His stores

And they that the LORD fear

Unto Him now draw near

And say the His mercy

Lasts e'er, so be

 

I did call on the LORD

In distress, He my word

Did hear, answered me

So secure I be

He set me in large place

His mercies true I trace

The LORD is on my side

It not denied

 

I will not fear, what can

Man do to me more than

The LORD allows, He

My help here shall be

It better Him to trust

Than man, who be mere dust

And than rulers, princes

Comfort is this
