INFATUATED

Andy Hunter

You just smiled and turned away

Feeling lost, I wished you'd stay

I found myself wanting more

I closed my eyes - you closed the door

I called you up – got no reply

I never dreamt this could be goodbye

I dial your number just to hear your voice

Your message haunts me - I have no choice

The empty silence deafens me

Your haunting smile is all I see

The colours shining through your eyes

Lift me up and hypnotise

I only knew you for a short while

Infatuated by your smile

The fire burns but I’m frozen in time

Dreaming one day you may be mine
