Tune: Melita
('Eternal Father, strong to save')
Psalm 107 v.23-31
********
They that in ships who go to sea
That trade, do business there, so be
These see the works of the LORD, too
His wonders in the deeps anew
For He commands, and storm winds raise
Which lift waves in turbulent days
Waves mount up as to heaven high
Then down to depths they fall and ide
Those who sail, their souls troubled be
For they the storm, commotion see
They reel to and fro like drunken
Are taken to their wits end then
Then in their trouble they do call
On the LORD, that He save them all
To bring them out of their troubles
And their distress, which them appals
He make the storm a calm, brings peace
So that the waves turmoil does cease
Then they are glad, for be quiet
They praise the LORD with thankful heart
So He brings them to haven, hark
Place for which they did disembark
O that people the LORD would praise
His goodness, wondrous works upraise
