May we meet again

Mahluli Dubase

Oh, you are gone.

Oh, you are no more.

Will our paths ever cross again?

Will I ever see your beautiful smile again?

We promised to never let go of each other.

We promised to love each other till the end.

The crazy moments we had together.

The affection we shared to each other.

They are now just memories.

They are gone just like you.

Do I just move on with my life?

Do I just forget about you?

How can I do that?

How can I do that when I still see you in dreams.

No day that passes without thinking about you.

No moment that passes without missing you.

Your love is what brought light into my darkest life.

Your care is what gave me strength to face my storms.

That big smile is what gave me hope.

That kindness is what kept me going.

I will forever hold on to the memories we had.

I will forever love you.

May we meet again.

Beautiful, reads like a Love hymn
and loved the final three lines,
    a great dedication, full
of all the classic and easily relatable metaphors,
    thanks for sharing
