Shadows.

kitty the naughty poet

Shadows.

I stand alone on a full moon’s night,

with shadows of ones once forgotten in daylight.

Won't you come and rest with me now,

keep me safe and hold me tight.

Tell me your story, tell me your name,

so I can remember you when the day breaks.

I stand alone on this full moon night,

with shadows of ones once loved

but now forgotten in the daylight.
