Who.
Who visits this seductive peninsula
where birds circle un-climbable cliffs
can gasp at waves holing hard granite
yet seeing field stock shiver in batter
of wind will yield to its native history.
Who covets this ocean-coved wilderness
and imagines caverns where lies hidden
the pastness of gale-sunken ship wrecks
when high-tide gatherings came readied
for in-drifts might find salient mystery.
Who values this storm-shaken corner
will reason its mere isolation affords
an adventure in sky-scraper freedom
where nature, with non-interference
invites experience of kept simplicity.
Who tastes raw beauty could remain
resistant to more of the same ?

Well I gues the answer to the question Who? is our Fay, lover of the natural world with the salt of Cornwall in her veins.
Wonderful wordsmithery delivering wild, coarse, ruggedness of this storm torn coastline which makes it so attractive to us soft bellied land lubbers from afar.
Aye but deep in me bones is a Cornishmans mettel.
Ha - - - not only yours truly enjoys the magic of nature along this south western coastline dear friend --- your thoughtful comments are ever welcome and so pleased you enjoyed the read of Who.
'Who visits this seductive peninsula'
'Who covets this ocean-coved wilderness'
'Who values this storm-shaken corner'
(I, do)
'Who tastes raw beauty could remain
resistant, to more of the same ?'
(I, pray - it will)

Who knows .. Kernow's of course .. unmistakable, ragged & real ... beautiful ink well spent our Fay .... x
You chose the right words to describe my haunts Nev....... ragged and real - what more could I ask than that of this tribute to Kernow coastline.... here's smilin' at ya for being supportive of my writing efforts with Who..............x.
Priceless as gems flew
The creator Miss Fay, such a beautiful imagery you used
The words are charismatic as they created the beautiful scene
Wonderful the nature as you show
I blush most humbly dear poet-friend at your suggestion of words like "charismatic" to my tries at highlighting nature's beautiful gifts. Thanking you most sincerely.
Well that makes me joyful that I could add the colour of rose to you
Your a charming poet
Your poetry reflects you
Good write Fay.
Thank you dear Orchi.
And now my next poem - Whom. heehee.
Excellent!
What an encouraging word to use for my posting today Coyote - - shall try to live up to that for next time I write on nature's bounty.
Is this the definitive Fay, embedded in country you so clearly love?
It would be too easy to see you as fortunate, however you obviously have the wisdom to recognise the harmony of your life, when so many do not and are forever on the move. (Not referring to refugees here)
Yes embedded here describes the real me Dave - ancient harmony recognized I never since wanted to be on the move when once seduced by the rugged raw beauty of this dangerous coastline. Glad you saw through my love for its history.
The magic of the natural world by the coast brought with such wonder by your words Fay.
