On the long and lonely road of life
East of nature’s law
You can listen to this world droning on in a 1 note song
You can think about the missed opportunity
Going on within your own impunity
Thinking you have immunity
But your thoughts will wander as they always do
Wondering if you lived a life, that is true
Staying awake for hours on end
With nothing much to do
Wondering when this trip will be through
This is what some will do with their precious gift of life
Thinking living is nothing but strife
Nothing but being on life’s stage
Going through the motions turning just another page
Living in a rage
Is there another way?
That all of us could just live life and play?
Living & Loving each other until one day
We will all be in Paradise of our own making, our own way
Where all of us Live & Love & Play
Knowing there is a method to this madness!
That ends up with us all in gladness!
That someone somewhere Loves us all enough to end all our sadness!

- Comment from author about the poem: Please forgive my absence as lately I have way too much tragedy in my life with heart surgery and those around me passing away, way too young! I mean someone close has just passed away and he was only 48 years old. WTF! Seriously WTF! It is bad enough when anyone is prepared as someone goes into hospice and has lived a good life in longevity and lived well, it is something else when someone passes that is way too young and is unexpected! I mean good God I am on oxygen and have 1 foot in the grave and 1 foot on a banana peel, Yet still cling to Life. Way too many deaths even at my age, way too freaking young. Period.

Very well penned my friend. Life has it's ups and downs, much like a roller coaster ride. But in the end, at least for myself I can say, it's a good life. 👍
Thank You Accidental Poet for your heartfelt comments. Yes I think I have had a decent ride on this roller coaster, also.
