Plodding A Path

orchidee

Tune: St Hugh

('Lord, teach us how to pray aright')

*******

Lord, may we open to help be

And others wisdom see

Where seems confusion, frustration

You promise peace, each one

And ourselves to help others too

In matters old or new

That progress be made, each good thing

To us resources bring

If labouring with heavy load

Your words to us bestowed

Come unto me and find your rest

Your burdens eased, you blessed

With your guidance to find way through

Where we seem blocked anew

Show us your plans sure in your time

Throughout life's seasons, rhyme

And so along the path of life

With you, calming of strife

For you the Life, Truth, and Way be

E'en through eternity
