The Lioness.

kitty the naughty poet

The Lioness.

I don’t understand what’s happening,

All control is slipping away,

My mind dances in a trance,

As demon's grip and pull me tight,

Ripping me up for the inside out,

Yet my body lies motionless in the dark,

While my soul strives for life.

Before the lioness roars inside me,

Helping me fight through the night,

Keeping the demons at bay until the sun rises,

As I huddle here in the dark,

I hear my lioness roar,

For now, I don’t feel alone,

She curls up beside my ragged soul,

And I get to sleep till dawn.
