Thanksgiving Tale

orchidee

Happy Thanksgiving to you all in America!

Or to 'ya'll' if you say it that way

Now us in the UK gotta wait another month for turkey

I never get much anyway

Fido eats most of it!

But the guinea pigs are vegetarian

But they could turn carnivore

And want turkey too

Usually they are gentle and placid

But you don't want a bite or nip from them, I'll tell ya

It's really painful!

We had an American boss once

We had to bear with things

Fourth of July and Thanksgiving

Like it or not

Smile sweetly and eat the goodies

That she always brought in

Whether we agreed with the history of it or not

Of course, Goldfinch and Fido and I

Were on the 'Mayflower' in 1620

We remember the journey well!

Same as we remember 1066!

Oh, and Fido was a sort of 'Ships Captain dog' too

Can you spot us in the video clip?!

It's all true this, ya know

Not the genre of 'fable'. lol.

There's a longer clip of nearly an hour, if you have time to see it.

I just think the Americans have to be first at everything. Did we ever get out tea back off them.
